Although there are many different varieties of poker, the same basic rule apply to most of them because the aim for most of the varieties of poker is the same; at the end of the game one player has to have the best possible five-card poker hand on their hand. Each style of poker has its own strategies which can lead to success when you know them.
Now that we know what we know, lets go back to the theory of poker. Since very little is known about poker itself, except for the rules of each poker game, I personally think that there is not a theory to poker, at least not one that everyone can agree to.
